The Lumicene brand covers a new generation of metallocene polyolefins developed by Total Petrochemicals. Compared to conventional polyolefins, metallocenes offer both converters and end users enhanced performance in terms of environmental properties, gloss and transparency, gas permeability, chemical resistance, mechanical properties and processability.
The Lumicene® range includes:
- polyethylenes for films, rotomolding, blow molding, synthetic grass, closures, etc. It is particularly appreciated for cosmetic packaging (small, high-gloss blow-molded jars), rotomolded liquid tanks (improved barrier properties) and synthetic grass for sports grounds (enhanced softness and resistance).
- polypropylenes for making fibers, films, injection moldings and medical applications. Frequent uses are drinking cups, baby bottles, contact lenses and closures for pill medicine containers.
